Important Warranty Terms

Warranty Start Date

All warranties begin on the date of substantial completion as defined in your construction contract, or the date of occupancy, whichever occurs first.

Transferability

The structural warranty is transferable to subsequent property owners for the remainder of the warranty period. The workmanship warranty is non-transferable. To transfer the structural warranty, notify Ergon Builders in writing within 30 days of property transfer.

Maintenance Requirements

Warranty coverage requires that you maintain your property according to the maintenance guide provided at project completion. Failure to perform regular maintenance may void warranty coverage for affected items. This includes but is not limited to: cleaning gutters, maintaining HVAC filters, sealing wood surfaces, and addressing minor repairs promptly.

Claim Deadlines

Claims must be submitted before the applicable warranty period expires. We recommend conducting a thorough inspection before the 11th month for workmanship items. Emergency issues (active leaks, safety hazards) should be reported immediately.
